Former McKerrow resident wins national music award

It’s a pretty big honour for a guitarist who hails from McKerrow.  Kevin Breit has been named this year’s winner of the Folk Music Pushing the Boundaries Award.  The national award will be officially handed to Breit next month during the Canadian Folk Music Awards show in Toronto.  Breit won the award for his album Ernesto and Delilah.  For the past 13 years, Breit has been performing at the Orbit Room in Toronto along with his band The Sisters Euclid.  He’s also done guitar work for big name stars Celine Dion, the Rankins and Rosanne Cash.
