11th Annual Dewar Family Maple Syrup Auction underway

It’s Spring and the Dewer family of Manitoulin Island is ready to boil up its annual batch of maple syrup and host its 11th Annual Dewar Family Maple Syrup Auction to help people with cancer.

Travis Dewer says they have been putting up their first litre up for auction to benefit people fighting cancer with the donation going to Health Sciences North Cancer Centre.

He says the family initiative has raised $23,550 so far, with the first litre last year selling for $2,700.

Dewer adds the bidding opened yesterday at 6 pm on the Dewar Family Maple Syrup Shack Facebook page adding bids will be accepted in whole dollar increments only until March 31st at 8 pm.
