The Eastern Canada Junior “A” Hockey Challenge will feature four Elliot Lake Wildcats from the NOJHL. Forwards Spencer MacLean and Alec MacKenzie made the cut as well as defenceman Nathan Campbell and net minder Aaron Mackay. In addition, Wildcats head coach Nathan Hewitt will join the all-star squad. The NOJHL team will play other all-star teams from Eastern Canada in Cornwall for a four day tournament beginning November 16th. Last year the northern team got as far as the semi-finals. The Cats were the only team in Algoma Manitoulin to place players on the elite team. Blind River and Espanola failed to have any players named.
