Martial arts students bring home serious hardware

 

Local Martial Arts students from Blind River and Elliot Lake traveled to Sudbury on the weekend to compete in the Nickel Capital Budo Challenge tournament. The team from Cecil’s Korean Arts Centre came away with 5 first place trophies, one second and three third place finishes, as well as 8 4th place finishes. Nine students from the local club competed in four divisions. The next competition for the local club is the Regional Qualifier for the Canadian National Team, which will be held in  Sault St. Marie.
