Manitoulin Health Centre launches fundraising campaign for smart infusion pumps

The Manitoulin Health Centre is launching a fundraising campaign to acquire advanced smart infusion pumps, medical devices designed to improve the accuracy and safety of medication delivery.

President and CEO Paula Fields says the hospital wants to raise $350,000 for the devices that are equipped with sophisticated software that minimizes medication errors, ensuring precise delivery of fluids, nutrients, and medications.

She says the funds raised will help purchase 25 smart infusion pumps, software and accessories, as well as the training costs, for patients in the acute care unit, emergency, and oncology departments.

Fields adds donations over $1,000 enables community members to add a leaf to the tree of life, with an inscription of their choice.
