Sudbury continues to attract a healthy crop of doctors. Figures show that 17 physicians started a practice in the city this year and that includes 11 specialists. Among the specialists are a pediatrician, a cardiologist and two surgical pathologists. And as proof that the Northern Ontario School of Medicine is paying off, nine of the new doctors did undergraduate work or training at the school. Since 2000, Sudbury has seen 230 family doctors and specialists move to the city.
