Gun pointed at motorist leads to charges

Three people from Blind River are facing charges after the OPP responded to a weapons call at a gas station parking lot in Bruce Mines.
Constable Bev Gauthier says last Thursday around 4:30 pm, the complainant was parked beside the suspect vehicle adding both vehicles reversed simultaneously, during which a rear passenger in the suspect vehicle made an obscene gesture toward the complainant, produced a handgun, inserted a magazine, and pointed the weapon at them.
She says the vehicle then fled west on Highway 17 and was stopped by police.
She says the three occupants were arrested and a search of the vehicle revealed a hidden firearm, multiple rounds of ammunition and an estimated $2,600 worth of drugs.
Gauthier adds the three accused have been charged with several weapons and drug-related charges. All three have been remanded into custody.
