By now area residents will have seen or heard a health-related campaign by the Ontario Nurses Association. It’s called “The Truth Hurts” and is designed to tell people how cuts are hurting the health-care system. The association claims that cuts to health-care increases the risk of death and disease for people. The ads are being broadcast over radio and TV and can also be seen in newspapers, transit shelters and social media. ONA has created a website that features the ads and also has an online petition to stop the cuts. The site is www.nursesknow.ona.org
