First Nation voter turnout pleases regional chief

Ontario’s Regional Chief believes First Nations can take some of the credit for helping to defeat the Conservative government on Monday.  Isadore Day says Aboriginal leaders encouraged their people to vote, and the turnout was the highest in First Nation history.  Day says that was certainly the case in ridings in Northwestern and Southern Ontario.   Day says many Ontario reserves mobilized their people to vote with grassroots initiatives.
