Ontario’s Regional Chief says Prime Minister-elect Justin Trudeau will have his work cut out for him over First Nation issues. Isadore Day says the Conservative government inflicted a lot of damage on Aboriginal people resulting in a lost decade of progress. Day says now Trudeau and his Liberal MP’s can change that. During the campaign, Trudeau said he would invest in First Nation education and end chronic boil water advisories on reserves within five years. Both issues are major challenges Day says the next federal government must deal with.
