Blind River District Health Centre has received the highest ranking a hospital can receive under a review system. The hospital was given accreditation with exemplary standing and it’s the first time in its history that the health facility has reached this plateau. Hospital CEO Gaston Lavigne says the ranking is the result of the dedication staff put into providing exceptional patient care. Health experts evaluate hospitals every four years in nearly 1,400 areas and Blind River achieved a 99 percent success rate.
