Plans finalized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chi-Cheemaun

Manitoulin Island will mark the 50th anniversary of the ferry, the Chi-Cheemaun’s with a family gathering.
The South Baymouth Community Development Association is hosting the activities on August 10th, which will include a community party, but also walk-ons to the ship.
According to the release, there are over 20 vendors, barbecues, a parade and car show, street dance, all capped off with fireworks at dusk.
The Chi-Cheemaun is a passenger and vehicle ferry, which traverses Lake Huron between Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island and runs seasonally from mid-May to mid-October.
On August 10th – All Walk-Ons on the Chi-Cheemaun are 50% off. This offer is available in person or by calling 1-800-265-3163. (They encourage calling to avoid long line-ups.)
