Elliot Lake’s St. Joseph’s General Hospital has appointed Leslie Sanders as the new Chief Nursing Executive and Vice President of Clinical Services.
As a proponent of patient-centred care, Sanders plans to implement a Seniors Friendly approach with Northeast Specialized Geriatric Services to address the specific needs of the city.
She is also committed to improving transitions in care for seamless and culturally safe patient experiences in partnership with Maamwesying, and the First Nations of Serpent River and Sagamok-Anishnawbek.
Sanders has 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, having held leadership positions in acute and post-acute care, as well as various community settings.
