A hail storm almost cancelled an event last night in Elliot Lake dealing with pregnancy and infant loss. Last night’s event was to take place at the Uranium symbol but the vicious storm destroyed a tent and equipment. Luckily a local restaurant allowed the group of 30 participants to hold their event at the business. Mayor Dan Marchisella was on hand to read the city’s proclamation supporting the event. Similar wave of lights ceremonies were held across Ontario including one at the CN Tower.
