Voter turnout very heavy at advance polls in AMK

When it comes to advance voting, Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing followed the national trend with a heavy turnout.  Returning officer Ray Racine says early numbers suggest the turnout in Elliot Lake was much higher than the last federal election.  And in Blind River, so many people took advantage of the advance polls that election officials ran out of ballots.  However more ballots were quickly delivered to Blind River so that people could continue voting early.  Racine says he doesn’t have exact numbers yet because they’re still coming in from the satellite offices.  But he adds there’s no doubt the riding followed the national trend with heavy turnouts.  Election Day is next Monday.
