Body recovered from lake after fatal collision

OPP have recovered the body of a man who fell into the water after the pedal boat he and his wife were on was hit by a ski boat Monday in the Parry Sound District.  The body of 80-year-old Zdzislaw Mercik was recovered Wednesday.  His 58-year-old wife, Bozena Mercik, died Monday evening en route to hospital after the ski boat driver brought her to shore and she was put in an ambulance.  The couple was from McMurrich/Monteith Township.  The fatal collision took place on Bartlett Lake and the investigation continues.
