Victims of crime have supports in the Manitoulin Island and North Shore Corridor

May 12th to May 18th is Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, which has services available on Manitoulin Island and along the North Shore Corridor.

Manitoulin Northshore Victim Services Executive Director Amy Collins says the week is about raising awareness on issues facing victims and survivors of crime and the services, programs, and laws in place to help them and their families.

She adds throughout Canada, countless dedicated people work with victims and survivors of crime every day.

She encourages the public, especially victims and survivors, to contact their office to access the help they need.

Services such as the one Collins oversees has service providers and criminal justice professionals give information and meaningful support to victims and survivors and their families as they navigate the criminal justice system.

Services for victims and survivors of crime are available right here on Manitoulin Island and the Northshore. Call 705-370-3378 or visit mnvictimservices.ca
