The Huron Shores Firefighters Association is hosting the first North Shore Firefighter Challenge this weekend and 18 teams, including contingents from Espanola and the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers will be taking on each other in various skills competitions.

The participants will be sharing their skills in exterior and interior attack, as well as search & rescue.

The event will also include visits with Sparky, the children’s section, a trade show, and vendors at the Iron Bridge Recreation Centre this Saturday from 8 am until 5 pm.
