Warrant executed in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township

Manitoulin OPP says two people have been charged after a search warrant was executed in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.

Constable Jessica Gilbertson says on Monday evening, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Young Street in Webbwood.

She says two people were arrested after the search where suspected meth and ecstasy, drug paraphernalia, a firearm and over $1,500 in cash were found.

A 37-year-old man from the township has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach, and one count each of possession of a firearm and possession of proceeds obtained by crime.

Gilbertson adds he is to appear in Sudbury court on March 28th.

She adds the second man from the township, a 30-year-old has been charged with breach and is to appear in Espanola court April 15th.
