ÉSC La Renaissance students to take part in the Way of the Cross in Espanola

Tomorrow, an Espanola school will be taking part in an event to mark Easter.

Jennifer Bernard, Principal of École catholique La Renaissance says students and school staff will take part in the Way of the Cross through the streets of Espanola this Friday.

She says the event will also include others from the Catholic community and will begin at 9:45 a.m. from the school.

She says a ten-foot-long cross be carried in turn by two students during the walk, which is comprised of 15 stations.

The stops will be at the corner of Mead Boulevard and 2nd Avenue, the corner of 2nd Avenue and Thornloe Avenue, the corner of Thornloe Avenue and Highway 6, the corner of Highway 6 and Mead Boulevard, the community Cenotaph and St. Jude Parish at 247 Mead Boulevard.

The public is invited to join in the procession.
