Espanola Soccer Association welcomes executive at AGM

The Espanola Minor Association held its annual general meeting last night, which included naming its executive and planning for another season.

Elected President, Aidan Kallioinen says over 15 people attended the gathering despite the weather to welcome their new executive.

Kallioinen also holds the offices of Secretary and Recreation League Coordinator.

He is joined by Vice President Christine Currie, as well as Treasurer and Social Media Coordinator Chrystal Noble.

Brody Mandigo has also been named Sponsorship Coordinator.

Registration is now underway with the information available on our websites.

Kallioinen adds they passed several constitutional amendments including finally removing any mention of the Ontario Soccer Association, which the league has not been a member of for over ten years.

He adds the league buys its insurance locally through BrokerLink.

Reflecting on last year’s successes with 270 registered for the summer program and over 80 in the fall program, Kallioinen adds he is looking forward to another successful season and invites anyone who loves the game to come forward and volunteer.

They do not have to have children involved in soccer to be supportive of the league.

You can find information about the age groups, registration and more on Facebook, Espanola Minor Soccer.
