The Moose FM radiothon in Elliot Lake raised more than $6,000. The money goes to food banks in Elliot Lake, Blind River and Manitoulin. The food banks have seen increases the last while. The facility in Elliot Lake alone caters to 325 families a month and the monthly cost to operate the food bank is $6,000.
