Man killed in single vehicle collision identified

A man who died in a single vehicle collision just before midnight Sunday west of Sudbury has been identified.  Dead is 24-year-old Donald McDonell of Elliot Lake.  OPP say McDonell was westbound in his car on Highway 17 when it went off the road, hit a rock cut and rolled over ejecting the driver.  McDonell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.  The collision took place by the Vermillion River Bridge.  Police are continuing their investigation and haven’t said yet what caused the car to go off the road.
