Algoma Public Health is calling on residents to nominate local citizens and organizations in Algoma for the 2023 Public Health Champion Award.
According to the release, a Public Health Champion is anyone who helps to protect and promote community health and advance health equity in Algoma, whether through leading, collaborating, innovating, or fostering opportunities for the good of the community.
The call for nominations closes on January 10, and winners will be presented at the January 24, board meeting.
The nominees can be an individual or organization.
To be eligible for nomination, the individual or group of individuals, organization, employer, or employee must reside in the district of Algoma Health Unit.
