One person has been arrested and charged with multiple offences following a report of a theft on Albert Street in Espanola. Manitoulin OPP Constable Jessica Gilbertson says last Wednesday, shortly after 3:00 p.m., police responded to a call regarding the theft of mail.
She says officers were directed to a compound where the suspect was last seen and located the individual inside.
Gilbertson says a 33-year-old Espanola man has been charged with two counts of mail theft, break & enter, mischief, theft, and possession of an illegal substance.
She adds he is to appear in Espanola court on January 15th.
