If you’re headed into any forested areas, use extreme caution. That’s the word from the Ministry of Natural Resources which says the fire hazard for Northeastern Ontario is high to extreme. Under those conditions it won’t take much for fires to erupt. Two new forest fires are burning in the Wawa region bringing the total of active fires to seven. The latest fires are not under control yet, but fortunately both are very small at less than one hectare in size.
