The Northern Ontario School of Medicine is adding five more residency positions. And the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities is pleased with the news. FONOM lobbied for the extra positions to ensure Northern Ontario continues to have a steady flow of doctors. Most of the school’s graduates end up staying in the north and FONOM says that’s good news for health care in the region.
