An Elliot Lake man has been charged in relation to a false fire alarm.
East Algoma OPP Constable Phil Young says on September 6, officers investigated a fire alarm call at an apartment complex on Washington Crescent in Elliot Lake.
He says the OPP had been contacted by the city’s fire department following an alarm being pulled at the complex, but there was no fire.
Young adds video footage was used to identify the individual and a 53-year-old man was charged Tuesday charged with false alarm of a fire.
The man is to appear in Elliot Lake court in October.
