Did you want to participate in the Food Cycler Pilot program but thought you missed your chance? You are in luck.
The Municipality of Central Manitoulin still has a few units remaining.
Round 3 of registration is now open and will remain open until all the units are claimed.
Food Cycler machines are on-site composting alternatives that help to divert organic waste from the landfill.
The Municipality is partnering with Ottawa-based company Food Cycle Science Corporation with support from Impact Canada to make an additional 100 units available to residents at a discounted rate in 2023. Participants in the extended-pilot program will track their usage over a 12-week period and answer a brief exit survey to help the municipality and Food Cycle Science assess whether the program is effective.
