Free bike exchange for youth across the LaCloche Region

Whether you live in Massey, Nairn Centre, or any community in between in the LaCloche Region, and you are a youth, and you need a bike, the upcoming free bike exchange will be of interest to you.

The LaCloche Foothills Region’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan includes the townships of Nairn & Hyman, Sables-Spanish Rivers, and Baldwin, as well as the Town of Espanola and is inclusive to all according to co-ordinator Susanne Cassidy, the Community Health Navigator.

She says the larger community has been generous in providing bikes for youth to be given away for free.

Cassidy says helmets are not included so youngsters must have one to wear to bring their new bike home.

She adds the exchange will be held at the Red McCarthy Memorial Ballfields pavilion in Espanola on Sunday, July 16th from 10 am to noon and all kids from across the North Shore are invited to take part.
