While the search for a consistent scheduling of a physician continues, the Emergency Department at the Blind River Site of the North Shore Health Network will remain open today.
CEO Tim Vine says the temporary closure of the site announced Wednesday has been averted.
He adds the network thanks the community for your continued patience and understanding as we work with our partners towards sustainable resources to serve local healthcare needs.
He says the site has had several temporary closures over the last couple of weeks due to a shortage of physicians, so work continues to attract a full-time physician to serve the area.
