The Rainbow District School Board honoured employees and community partners with the 2023 Awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Co-Curricular Program, Community Partnership Awards, the Go Green Globe Awards, Awards for Excellence, and others in late May.

Individuals with 25 and 35 years of service were also recognized.

An Outstanding Contribution Award was presented to Manitoulin Secondary School math teacher Jon Balfe while Espanola High School’s Jayson Stewart accepted a Go Green Globe Award for the school’s successes in its environmental initiatives.
