That’s a lot of lobster …

After selling 450 pounds of lobster and 180 pounds of prime rib to 400 happy Lobsterfest customers and volunteers the organizing committee is thrilled to have raised just over $13,000 for the Espanola Curling Club.

Key organizer David Gallant says $12,000 will go towards the club’s Rock Replacement Program with the other $1,000 used to buy a new chest freezer for the club.

On behalf of the committee, he extends a big thank you to all of the sponsors, especially GFL, Aspire Scaffolding, and Garnets Rentals, the excellent entertainers and the community at large, which has embraced the annual event.

Gallant is especially happy that this is the first time in the eight years of hosting the event that it sold out and he is looking forward to the next one  in support of yet another organization or individual in need in the local area.
