One person has been arrested and charged for multiple weapons offences in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
Constable Jessica Gilbertson says a week ago, police were called to a residence on Massicotte Road after receiving a call that the person living there was in possession of firearms and did not have valid licencing.
She adds further investigation revealed this person had also threatened to shoot another person.
Gilbertson says they eventually located the 60-year-old man, and an arrest was made.
She says he is facing two counts each of breach and unauthorized possession of a weapon, uttering death threats, possession of a dangerous weapon and careless use of a firearm.
She adds he appeared in Sudbury bail court this week and has been remanded into custody.
