EHS and a throne of a different kind, a library and metal roses

Spartan students have been busy over the last week or two constructing a couple of practical projects.

Espanola High School’s Spartan Construction SHSM students braved the blackflies and installed an outhouse they built at a camp near Massey.

Students built the outhouse from scratch including installing windows and plants boxes.

The students also met with well-known local carpenter Hans Hansen who toured them around his shop.

It did not end there with students also building a Little Library in McKerrow where bookworms can donate or grab a book to read at their leisure.

The final project completed just in time for prom tonight was teacher Henry Girard’s students adding metal roses to the arbour, which will also be highlighted at upcoming graduation ceremonies.
