The City of Elliot Lake will be hiring a recruitment firm to fill the Chief Administrative Officer position.
Elliot Lake council removed former CAO Daniel Gagnon from the position late last month, but the reasons for his departure have not been made public.
Gagnon served in several positions with the city from 2001 to 2010 before he left to take a position elsewhere, and then returned to Elliot Lake as CAO in 2018.
No timeline or other details of the recruitment drive have been released at this time.
Natalie Bray has been appointed as interim CAOÂ until the new staffer is hired.
