City plans showcase to highlight community organizations

The City of Elliot Lake is planning a showcase for the public to meet and join community organizations that pique their interest.
City CAO Daniel Gagnon says the city is hosting a free community group showcase on Saturday, May 13 at Collins Hall from noon to 4 p.m. for members of the public to come learn about all the different amazing community groups available in the municipality.
He says the event is open to all community groups, from large to small, with a focus on recreational, family and children’s groups.
Any group wishing to attend can contact the city and everyone is invited to attend the showcase to meet with local volunteers and find the perfect fit for their interests.
