With over 600 teams, more than 30,000 attendees and several days of competition, the Manitoulin Secondary School robotics team comes home with a top six finish, and recognition as champions.
Manitoulin Metal Robotics FRC 6865, spent the last few days in Houston, Texas competing at the First Robotics Competition featuring teams from around the world.
In a whirlwind, the team and their robot, Bumblebee, were chosen as a FIRST Impact award finalist, and although they did not win the overall, it stands them in good stead for future competitions.
Upon their arrival home today, it is expected there will be plenty of peers and staff on hand to congratulate them on their momentous win.
