Investigation into house fire with serious injuries

East Algoma OPP is working in partnership with the Mississauga First Nation Police Service investigating a house fire that occurred last week where one person was seriously injured.
Constable Bev Gauthier says last Wednesday night around 5 pm, police, fire and medical services all responded to the fire on West Street in Mississauga First Nation.
She says the 54-year-old homeowner was transported to hospital in Toronto with life-threatening injuries.
Gauthier adds their Crime Unit, forensic services and the Office of the Fire Marshall is continuing the investigation.
Anyone with information regarding this fire should contact the OPP or Mississauga Frist Nation Police Service at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Ontario Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
