Espanola High School hosts in-person Information night for Grade eight students

Espanola High School will be a busy place tomorrow evening when the staff hosts an information night for Grade 8 students.

Melanie Bertrand, the principal of E-H-S, says all Grade eight students an attend, no matter what school they are now attending, and explore the school and its programming starting at six pm.

She says they and their parents will find out what various programming is available besides the regular academic programs, such as Co-operative Education, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program and the Duel Credits through Cambrian College.

She adds students can also explore their technology programming, Indigenous Education, athletics and others, such as culinary and visual arts programming.
Bertrand adds students can also enrol in Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in four sectors: Business – Management; Construction – Carpentry Techniques; Hospital and Tourism – Culinary Arts and Food Preparation; and Transportation.
