New joint school to be built in Blind River

The Ontario government has announced a new joint school will be built in Blind River.

The investment of $36.7 million dollars in the school is a joint venture between the Algoma District School Board and Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario.

Once completed, the new school will house 381 junior kindergarten to Grade 12 English Public spaces, 72 French-Language spaces for elementary school students and 64 daycare spaces.

The school will be located at 180 Youngfox Road, but no other details are being released at this time with an update expected once the tendering process is completed.
