Television personalities focus on environment at gathering

Despite the stormy weather last Friday evening, a sizeable crowd took in a presentation on the Serpent River First Nation featuring two well-known television personalities with an environmental focus.

Jenifer Brousseau, a co-host of the show “Wild Archeology” on APTN and Tracie Louttit,  the associate story producer of the show Life Below Zero: First Alaskans on National Geographic were the keynote speakers and members of the part of the North Shore Environmental Resource Advocates Incorporated, which is fighting a permit application for a trap rock quarry proposal in the Township of the North Shore.

Hosted by the Grandmother’s Council of Serpent River FN, the gathering focused on the Blanding Turtle and the protection of the watershed.
