NOSM University names its inaugural Provost and Vice President of Academics

Northern Ontario School of Medicine University has appointed Céline Larivière as its inaugural Provost and Vice President of Academics for a five-year term.

The term begins in February.

The release states she will be responsible for institutional planning and the academic administration of all the university’s educational programs, as well as lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs and services.

Larivière says she is honoured with the appointment adding the opportunities for innovation, discovery and academic excellence are inspiring and is looking forward to championing initiatives to improve health equity in Canada.

Her appointment was unanimously endorsed by the University’s Senate following an extensive search led by a 14-person committee over the last few months.
