École catholique Georges Vanier students keep Elliot Lake seniors close to their hearts

Before beginning their Christmas break, students and school staff at École catholique Georges Vanier in Elliot Lake wanted to take concrete action and contribute to the well-being of seniors in their community as well as share with them their love for Christmas.
To achieve this, the students participated enthusiastically in projects allowing them to build intergenerational links.
The school’s choir is appreciated for its dynamic performances.
In a spirit of sharing, the members of the choir hosted a virtual Christmas mini-concert for the residents of St. Joseph’s Manor.
In addition, the families of the school mobilized to collect several products for them, including hygienic items, which were delivered to St. Joseph’s Manor.
In addition, students enjoyed preparing Christmas cards for the residents of Huron Lodge to let them know that they are in their hearts.
Colten, a grade 5 student at Georges Vanier, took great pride in delivering the cards to Huron Lodge.
