Lots of toys for girls and boys

Sister Station Moose 94.1 FM – CKNR In Elliot Lake says the numbers are not all in yet, but a Radiothon in support of the Salvation Army and local toy drive was a great success.

The radiothon, which was held on Friday raised over $4,800 in cash donations and over $3,000, that’s three full minivans in toy donations.

The toys were collected with the help of East Algoma OPP officers and other volunteers in the front of the radio studio.

The cash donations will go towards the $60,000 goal set by the Salvation Army to raise funds for people in need in the local area.

Anyone wishing to contribute can either contact the organization or donate at any number of kettle locations throughout the city.
