Memorial Tree returns to Espanola hospital

Buying hand-made ornaments in memory of loved ones is back in Espanola.

Sandra Courtemanche, with the Espanola Regional Hospital Auxiliary says they have been unable to have the Memory Tree set up at the hospital since the pandemic, but it returns this year.

She adds the auxiliary has been busy making hand-made ornaments for sale as well which can be personalized for loved ones.

Courtemanche says they cost $10, $15 or $20 each with the funds going towards buying equipment and supporting programs in the hospital and health centre.

She adds the bulbs go on sale on November 21st and the tree will be set up in the foyer of the hospital with the public having the option to display their memorial bulbs until Christmas Week.

Courtemanche adds the public can either come by the tuck shop at the hospital or view the display they will have set up in the mall during Christmas bazaars this Holiday Season.

Want more information, drop by the tuck shop in the lobby of the hospital.
