Several properties including the Pearson Plaza Mall have been purchased by a southern Ontario developer in Elliot Lake.
Ray Khanna, who runs a company called Kingston, says he has bought the Pearson Plaza Mall, which will maintain its tenants, and see the addition of an A&W restaurant and possibly another business in the same location.
He says he also owns the former grocery store in the lower plaza and is looking at converting it into apartments and housing up to 16 businesses.
He has also purchased 19 lots to build homes in the city and is hoping to be the successful bidder for the former civic centre property to build a hotel on the site.
