FedNor is providing just over $8.1 million in investment to help launch, build and expand businesses in Northern Ontario including one in the Massey area.
Federal officials say the money will be invested to assist 15 small businesses throughout the North.
A Massey area business, Z’gamok Construction is one receiving $588,000 to go towards the implementation of a business plan to expand their operations and purchase new heavy-duty equipment.
The investment will also help create and maintain up to 681 jobs in Northern Ontario.
