The Manitoulin Health Centre has received a donation from a branch of the Royal Canadian Legion on Manitoulin Island.
Western Manitoulin Legion Branch #514 Gore Bay President Jim Woods says they are proud to donate $1,000 to the health centre for its Let’s Emerg Together campaign, with the funds earmarked for the renovation and expansion of the emergency department at the Mindemoya facility.
He made the donation this Tuesday to CEO, President Paula Fields who thanked the branch for its support of the campaign.
Fields adds the renovations to the facility should be completed soon and community support has gone a long way in helping complete the work.
