Accreditation Canada has upgraded the status of the Manitoulin Health Centre from Accredited with Commendation to its highest award, Exemplary Standing.
According to CEO Paula Fields, organizations receive an accreditation award from Accreditation Canada where their standards are met to deliver safe, high-quality care.
She says the process is an intensive one with all the staff, partners and volunteers coming together to work on consultation, engagement, programming, and policy and process development.
Fields adds she and the board is proud of the work done in achieving the status.
